The Bobcat 763 Skid-Steer Loader is a heavy-duty piece of equipment used on construction and excavating jobs. The Bobcat 763 comes equipped with a 46-horsepower diesel engine and has a rated operating capacity of 1,500 pounds. Finding and writing down the serial number for your Bobcat 763 is crucial when the time comes for you to order parts if repairs are needed. If your 763 is stolen, having the serial number on hand for your local law enforcement agency will help the process of recovering it for you easier.

Check on the upper rear frame area and above the engine for the serial number plate. This plate will be black and will feature one block of four numbers following a block of five numbers. Write down the first sequence of numbers on a pad of paper (these numbers designate your specific model and engine combination). Write down the second block of numbers after the first (these designate your skid loader’s production series). Find the engine serial numbers by removing the engine compartment cover and checking on the engine’s valve cover, on the right side.

Write these numbers down as well, and keep your Bobcat’s serial number in a safe place.
